Coyote and Selected Poems by
 Lamar Thomas

Kandinsky

 Every picture breaks
 into a slice of color
 and in the soft light
 of always being alone
 the colors drift
 sit and wait for form
 Wait for touch
 a gathering up
 of shapes too shy
 to do it alone.
